    Hi,

I have a customer that has a Vulcan Kettle Model # GT 100E. He is looking for a cone with handle for the unit that is connected to the front drain.

This is the part # that they pulled off  of Parts Town that comes as a whole unit.  VH00-817900

The customer is just looking for the cone with handle and not the entire piece since it is so expensive.

They think they were able to buy just the handle and cone in the past separate so wanted to get your guys insight.

Thanks for the help in advance.

They are sold as one piece due to the fact that they are a tapered valve that has to be lapped to each other. If you took the inside from another one and tryed to use it in the mounted one it would either bind or leak.  But the price is shocking.

Clevelands KGL kettle’s have a similar thing https://www.partstown.com/cleveland/cleke50972-b

But I just made some out of the same material instead of buying it, it seems like they now sell them separate, they didn’t use to but that’s another option, to have them made or make them.

Yea, but Cleveland and others use a stem valve.  Not a tapered quarter turn.
