Repairing surface mount boards gets very high in labor cost and necessary bench equipment. Just a simple soldering station is $700. You need board positioning, lighted magnifiers, A variable power supply, a quality bench multi-meter, and a bread board with a lot of spare components to “make” test power and load. And biggest of all, a steady delicate touch.
But if you have a lot of them, someone’s changing them because of a deeper problem. Missed diagnosis. I’m willing to bet that most are not bad. But the ground sensing path of the machine is. Unless they have suffered environmental damage.
